Two men and three teenagers have been charged after pyrotechnics were set alight within and nearby Pittodrie Stadium before and during an Aberdeen v Rangers match.
A 37-year-old, 33-year-old and an 18-year-old have been arrested and charged in connection with culpable and reckless conduct following the January 18 clash.
Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, have also been charged.
The charges relate to pyrotechnics being set off within the stadium during the fixture and also in the King Street area prior to the game.
Four of the accused are from Aberdeen and the fifth is from Glasgow.
Police Scotland said football banning orders are being sought for the suspects.
All are the subject of reports to the Procurator Fiscal and The Children’s Reporter.
Enquiries are continuing to identify further alleged offenders.
Inspector Mike McKenzie, of the Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit, said: “Pyrotechnics are inherently dangerous and present a risk of serious injury to those who discharge them and those around them.
“I would ask fans to consider their own safety and wider public safety.
“We will deal robustly with anyone who chooses to use pyrotechnics illegally.”
