Four men and one woman have been arrested and charged after drugs worth an estimated £2600 were recovered in Aberdeenshire.
Police seized the controlled drugs, believed to heroin and ‘crack’ cocaine, after searching a house in the Kittybrewster area of Aberdeen, on Thursday.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, with the men, aged 19, 19, 27 and 26, and the woman, aged 36, appearing at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday.
Detective constable Robert Graham said: “As part of Police Scotland’s commitment to tackle county lines drug dealing, an intelligence-led operation was carried out in the Jute Street area of Aberdeen.
“A quantity of heroin and crack cocaine were recovered and five people were arrested.
“Anyone with information about drug dealing is encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
