A driver has been taken to hospital after a flat bed truck was sent down an embankment during a crash near a primary school in Aberdeenshire.
The motorist was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary shortly after 12pm on Wednesday following the incident on A98 near Fraserburgh.
Roadside recovery was called to drag the truck and car back onto the tarmac from the ditch near the turn-off for Tyrie School.
One of the drivers involved has since been arrested in connection with the incident.
An investigation has also been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended and one driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“One driver has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.
