Four people have been injured after a car crashed into a barrier on a dual carriageway.
Emergency services were called to the Kingsway near Pitkerro Road in Dundee at around 5am on Wednesday.
The male driver of the car was taken to Ninewells Hospital while the three passengers were treated by paramedics at the scene.
The road was closed for more than two hours before reopening at around 7.30am.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were called around 5am on Wednesday to a report of a one-car crash eastbound on Kingsway, Dundee.
“Emergency services attended and the driver, a man, was taken to Ninewells Hospital.
“Three passengers were treated by ambulance personnel.
“The road was closed and re-opened around 7.30am.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.58am on Wednesday to reports of a road traffic collision in Dundee.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the city’s Pitkerro Road, where firefighters worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene.
“A total of four casualties were left in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.”
