Scottish Bafta winner Greg McHugh is set to return to this year’s Christmas pantomime in Aberdeen.
Greg will be performing as alter-ego Gary Tank Commander in the show and says he “cannot wait” to be in Sleeping Beauty.
He will feature alongside some familiar faces, with Aberdeen panto stalwart Alan McHugh returning to the stage as Nurse Nellie Macduff for his 20th appearance in the Granite City.
Gary told STV News: “I am just so excited to be a part of Sleeping Beauty. I just cannot wait.
“I mean, it’s just so exciting. I mean, look at the theatre, all these people coming to see the serious play. It’s just so exciting.”
Alan added: “I can’t wait. It is only July. December seems too long away.
“But this is a nice day to get yourself in the mood and to start looking forward to the coming months – and before you know we will be up there on that stage, giving it all for the folk of Aberdeen.”
Paul J Corrigan and Julie Coombe will be back playing the villains Slimeball and Carabosee, while Michael Karl Lewis will take on the role of the Prince.
Aberdeen panto star Danielle Jam will also return as The Spirit of the Pantomime, who will continue to include Doric and bring a magical feel to the show.
Danielle said: “I just love being in Aberdeen and playing the show to people that I grew up with and it’s really, really exciting. And speaking in Doric and being a feisty fairy again, it’s just magic. I’m so grateful to be back.”
Sleeping Beauty runs from Saturday December 2 til January 7 at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen and tickets are on sale now.
