An 11-year-old girl has been left seriously injured after being attacked by a dog in Dundee.

Emergency services were called to reports of a dog attack on a path between Forth Crescent and South Road at around 4.45pm on Monday.

The child was taken to Ninewells Hospital with a serious injury.

Officers confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.45pm on Monday, June 16, we received a report of a dog attack on a path between Forth Crescent and South Road in Dundee.

“An 11-year-old girl was taken to Ninewells Hospital with a serious injury.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
