A girl has been taken to hospital after falling from rocks into the sea in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services were called to Gardenstown on Sunday evening after the incident unfolded.
The coastguard rescued the girl, who was taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The girl was taken to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, however the extent of her injuries are unknown.
A statement from a coastguard spokesperson said: “Macduff Coastguard Rescue Team assisted a girl into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service after she was reported to have fallen at Gardenstown at about 7.35pm on July 12.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call on Sunday to attend an incident in Gardenstown.
“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one female patient to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.”
