A body has been recovered from a Kirkcaldy park in the search for a man missing overnight.
Graham Challis, 59, was last seen when he left his home in the Links Street area of the town at around 7am on Saturday, March 19.
Police confirmed a body had been found in a wooded area to the west of Beveridge Park, at around 6.15pm on Sunday.
Officers said they were working to establish the identity of the body but that Mr Challis’s family had been informed.
Officers said there were no apparent suspicious circumstances.
After his disappearance, his family said they were “increasingly concerned” for his welfare.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 6.15pm on Sunday 20 March 2022, police received a report a man’s body had been found in a secluded wooded area to the west of Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy.
“No formal identification has taken place, however, officers have spoken to the family of Graham Challis, who has been missing since Saturday 19 March, 2022.
“A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
