Two hillwalkers had to be rescued from a snow covered mountain in the Cairngorms after getting into difficulty during Storm Kathleen.
Aberdeen Mountain Rescue and Braemar Mountain Rescue were called out to the Lochnagar area on Saturday night after the alarm was raised.
Two hillwalkers were found in the early hours of the morning and taken to safety.
The volunteer groups have urged the public to check the weather forecast and pack appropriately before heading out.
Aberdeen MT asked the public to remember that it is “very much still winter in the hills.”
Lomond Mountain Rescue Team were also called to an emergency in the Trossachs after a walker began suffering from calf pain.
The team was called to Ben Venue around 1.05pm on Sunday, April 7, due to the person being “unable to continue” with their walk.
A decision was made to stretcher the person off the hill to allow them to return to the main car park.
Lomond MRT shared details of the rescue on social media.
