Police ScotlandA drug-dealing shooter who was on the run from prison after escaping custody from HMP Castle Huntly has been traced.
Sean McGovern had absconded from the Dundee prison on Sunday, June 11.
Police confirmed on Monday, June 19 that he had been traced and had been returned to prison.
The 39-year-old is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
