Homes were evacuated as a fire affected houses in Aberdeenshire, with one road remaining closed.
Emergency services were called around 5.40pm on Saturday to a fire at a property on Swann Place in Ballater.
There were no reports of any injuries and four properties were evacuated as a result.
Images from the scene showed some properties had sustained significant damage due to the fire.


Police say enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause.
A Police Scotland statement read: “We received a report of a fire at a premises on Swann Place, Ballater, around 5.40pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
“Emergency services attended, there were no reports of any injuries and four properties were evacuated as a result.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.
“Swann Place has since re-opened however a section of Provost Craig Road remains closed making it a no through road.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said it sent four appliances to the scene including a height vehicle, and specialist resources to the scene.
Residents were told to keep their doors and windows closed.
