A huge fire has erupted near a harbour in Fife with multiple lorries and trailers ablaze.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted at 9.11am to reports of a fire affecting multiple heavy goods vehicles and trailers near to Methil Harbour in Fife.
Seven appliances have been sent to the scene where crews are working to extinguish the fire.
There are no reported casualties, but due to the level of smoke people are being asked to avoid the area.

Images and videos from the scene show large plumes of smoke travelling across the harbour area.
A SFRS statement read: “We were called at 9.11am to reports of a fire affecting multiple heavy goods vehicles and trailers near to Methil Harbour in Fife.
“Operations control has mobilised seven fire appliances to the scene where crews are working to extinguish the fire.
“There are no reported casualties and crews remain in attendance.
“Due to the volume of smoke, people are asked to avoid the area. Local residents are asked to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution.”
A Police Scotland statement read: “Emergency services are in attendance following a vehicle fire in the Harbour View area of Methil which was reported around 9.20am on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
“The fire is contained and there are no reported injuries.
“The area between Harbour View and South Street has since reopened however nearby residents are asked to keep windows and doors closed at this time.
“Members of the public are asked to avoid the area where possible.”
