A large fire has engulfed a disused building in Lochgelly town centre.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at the building on Bank Street around 1pm on Friday.
Images and videos shared on social media show the fire ripping through a building, while plumes of smoke can be seen around the town centre.
Five fire engines were sent to the incident, with crews still working to bring the well-developed blaze under control.
Locals have been urged to avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed.


There are no reported casualties.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 1.11pm on Friday, September 19 to reports of a large fire within a disused building in Lochgelly.
“Operations Control mobilised five appliances to the town’s Bank Street, where firefighters remain working to extinguish the well-developed fire.
“There are no reported casualties.
“Those living nearby are asked to avoid the area and to keep windows and doors closed for the time being.”
A Police Scotland statement read: “Bank Street in Lochgelly is currently closed due to a fire which was reported around 1.25pm on Friday, September 19, 2025.
“Residents are asked to avoid the area and keep windows closed.
“Emergency services remain in attendance.”
