Police are hunting a driver who left the scene of a crash in Aberdeenshire which left two men requiring hospital treatment.

Emergency services were called to the A90 on Tuesday near the Lintmill Brae roundabout near Ellon following reports of a collision involving a white Audi Sport and another vehicle.

By the time police and ambulance crews arrived on the scene, the second vehicle had left the area.

The Audi driver, a 41-year-old man, and his passenger, a 36-year-old man, were both taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Constable Ross Hay said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this crash.

“I am appealing to anyone who was on the road around that time and who may have witnessed the crash and has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone with any dashcam footage which could help our enquiries to contact us.”
