Police are on the hunt for a man who assaulted a 14-year-old girl on a footpath in Aberdeenshire.
The schoolgirl was walking along Old Military Road, near to Potarch, when she was approached and attacked at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, April 27.
Police said the teenager was “shocked but unhurt” by the incident.
The suspect is believed to be in his mid to late-20s, around 5ft 8in with a medium build, and short brown scruffy hair.
He was wearing a dark green jumper and was seen to be driving a dark-coloured saloon-style car.
Detective sergeant Stewart Gibbon, of the public protection unit in Aberdeen, said: “The incident has just recently been reported to police and we keen to trace the man responsible.
“The girl was walking on the footpath when she was approached by the man and assaulted.
“This appears to be an isolated incident and officers are doing everything they can to find the person involved.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have any information relating to this incident to contact Police Scotland.”
