Police are hunting for a man driving a white van who assaulted a driver in his car after a road rage incident in Dundee.

Officers say the attack happened around 4.05pm on Wednesday, February 11, on Mallaig Avenue in the city.

A man driving a white Ford Transit van overtook the victim and braked sharply before exiting the vehicle.

The suspect then opened the victim’s vehicle door and assaulted him before making off in the white van.

He is described as a man, in his 50s, and balding. He was wearing a grey hooded zip-up jumper.

Constable Steven Robson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone driving in the Mallaig Avenue area at the time with dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 2154 of Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
