Hunt for suspects after driver attacked within vehicle at Aberdeen retail park

Police are hunting for two suspects after a driver was attacked in his vehicle at a retail park in Aberdeen.

Officers say that between 1.30pm and 2pm on Tuesday, a 47-year-old man was in his vehicle waiting to exit Kittybrewster Retail Park on Bedford Road when a man and a woman exited a white Nissan Juke.

They approached the vehicle and the male suspect proceeded to lean in and remove the keys from the ignition, threw them away and began assaulting the man.

An altercation then took place before the man and woman returned to their vehicle and drove away.

The first suspect is described as a white male, around 40 years old, 5ft 9in, of medium build, with short, cropped, jet-black hair and a short, jet-black, cropped beard. He was wearing dark coloured clothes, possibly a black hoodie and grey trousers.

The second suspect is described as a white female, around 22 years old, 5ft 4in, of medium build, and blonde, shoulder-length hair, with green and red stripes. Her clothing is unknown.

The victim did not require hospital treatment.

Constable Dawson from Kittybrewster Police Station said: “Enquiries are ongoing to identify the individuals involved and we’re appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

“If you were passing by at the time and saw what happened, or if you may have private CCTV or dashcam footage of significance, please get in touch.”
