A man attempting to run from police had to be rescued from the River Don on Saturday morning in Aberdeenshire.
Police attended the Shunnery Brae area of Inverurie to carry out an arrest warrant at around 8am on Saturday, December 10.
A pursuit on foot took place which saw a 36-year-old man cross into the river from which he subsequently had to be rescued from.
He was arrested by police and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8am on Saturday, December 10, 2022, police attended the Shunnery Brae area of Inverurie to carry out an arrest warrant.
“A foot pursuit took place and the 36-year-old man subsequently had to be rescued after crossing into the river. He was arrested and has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.”
