An investigation has been launched after a teenager was raped in a park in Fife.
Officers received reports of the “serious sexual assault” of an 18-year-old girl on Saturday.
The incident happened in the Volunteers Green area of Kirkcaldy between 10.30pm and 11.45pm.
Police said enquiries into the incident are “ongoing”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An investigation is under way after police received a report of a serious sexual assault on an 18-year-old woman in the Volunteers Green area of Kirkcaldy.
“The incident occurred between 10.30pm and 11.45pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
