Buggies worth £48,000 have been stolen from a golf course in Dundee.
Police were called to Caird Park Golf Course on Thursday after a break-in took place between 1am and 6am that morning.
Three John Deere Gators were stolen in the raid and the total value has been estimated at around £48,000.
In a Facebook post, Golf Dundee said: “Unfortunately, we have had major vandalism carried out on the nine hole course overnight and this has resulted in the temporary closure of the course.
“We are so sorry for the disruption this will cause to the hundreds of nine hole members who use and enjoy the course, but can assure you that we will do whatever we can to re-open the course as soon as possible.”
Constable Laura Allan said: “We’re asking for anyone with information on this break in, or if you saw anything suspicious in the Caird Park area, to come forward.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have seen the vehicles in question in the community or for sale.
“If you believe you can assist our investigation, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0517 of October 13. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
