A Perthshire beauty spot has been renamed in honour of pop sensation Taylor Swift as she arrives in Scotland for three sold-out concerts.
The Blank Space star is set to bring her Eras Tour to Edinburgh’s Murrayfield stadium on Friday, June 7, Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.
Ahead of the headline concerts, Loch Tay in Perthshire has been renamed ‘Loch Tay Tay’ in tribute to the US singer by Heart Scotland in partnership with Loch Tay Highland Lodges.
A ceremony was held on the loch with bagpipers playing renditions of Swift’s songs while a new sign was unveiled by Heart’s Danni Menzies.
Heart Breakfast’s Des and Jennifer said: “We’re giving Taylor the ultimate Scottish welcome by officially renaming the iconic Loch Tay, Loch Tay Tay!
“With the help of our amazing listeners and the team at Loch Tay we are making one of the world’s most celebrated artists feel right at home here in Perthshire!”
Andrew Howe, chairman of Largo Leisure said: “What could be more fitting for pop royalty like Taylor Swift than having one of the most impressive lochs in Scotland named after her?
“We think Loch Tay Tay and our newly named holiday park Loch Tay Tay Highland Lodges is a fitting tribute to such an iconic star and we would welcome any Swifties for a visit to see Loch Tay Tay for themselves.
“Thank you to the team at Heart Scotland for the new sign which creates a stunning selfie spot!”
