A busy Aberdeenshire road was closed after lorry burst into flames on Thursday.
Emergency services were alerted to a vehicle on fire at around 2.31pm on the A947 in Oldmeldrum.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Services (SFRS) deployed two fire engines, who quickly extinguished the “well alight” HGV.
No injuries were reported as of 10am on Friday, September 9.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were called to assist emergency service partners at 2.31pm on Thursday, September 8 at a HGV well alight on the A947 in Oldmeldrum.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances and firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
“There were no casualties and crews left the after ensuring the area was safe.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 2.35pm on Thursday, September 8, we were called to assist Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with a lorry which was on fire on the A947, near Oldmeldrum.
“The road was closed to allow for recovery.”
