A body has been discovered in the search for a Dundee woman who went missing in January.
Lynn McPaul, 45, was last seen in the city’s Perth Road, near to Strawberry Bank, at around 11.40pm on Sunday, January 23.
Police confirmed that a body had been discovered in a woodland area near to George Pirie Way, Dundee, at around 3pm, on Saturday.
Officers said they were working to establish the identity of the body but that Ms McPaul’s family had been informed.
After her disappearance, her family said they were “bewildered” by her disappearance.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said today: “Around 3pm on Saturday, March 12, the body of a woman was found in woodland near to George Pirie Way, Dundee.
“Formal identification is still to take place, however, the family of missing person Lynn McPaul has been made aware.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
