M90 closed amid 'ongoing incident' as drivers urged to avoid motorway

Part of the M90 has been closed due to an “ongoing incident” in Perth and Kinross.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7am on Tuesday.

Officers closed the road in both directions between Junction 6 and Junction 7 and urged drivers to avoid the area.

Latest updates from Traffic Scotland said the road remains closed at 8.15am.

It added that drivers should use alternative routes where possible and expect delays to their journeys.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The M90 is closed in both directions at junction 7.

“Emergency services are in attendance and drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
