A town hall built in Aberdeenshire over 140 years ago has been put up for sale by the council.
Macduff Town Hall on Shore Street, built in 1884, has been placed on the market with a rateable value of £27,500 with effect from April 1, 2023.
The 600 square metre site, a B-listed detached property, has been deemed “surplus” to council requirements and has views of a nearby harbour and the Moray Firth.
The front elevation of the three-storey building is accompanied by the rear elevation on Church Street with a single storey.
Macduff has a population of around 3,800 and is separated from the neighbouring town of Banff by the River Deveron.
Further information on the property is available by contacting Aberdeenshire Council Estates Team on 01467 469261 or via email at estates@aberdeenshire.gov.uk.
