Four-vehicle crash on A90 leaves two people injured as road closed

Two people have been injured in a four-vehicle crash on a major road in Aberdeenshire.

At around 6pm on Monday, police were called to the collision on the southbound carriageway of the A90 near Laurencekirk.

Police confirmed that two people were injured as a result of the crash and emergency services remain in attendance.

The southbound carriageway was closed for three hours, reopening just after 9.30pm.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At around 6pm on Monday, August 1, police received reports of a road crash involving four vehicles on the A90 near the Laurencekirk bypass.

“Two people were injured and emergency services are currently in attendance.”

Traffic Scotland confirmed shortly after 9.30pm that the Southbound carriageway had reopened and all vehicles were recovered after the earlier collision
