Drivers are facing major disruption on roads in Dundee and Fife after the Tay Road Bridge was closed on both sides.

It is currently unknown what the cause is, however STV News understands officers were called to reports of concerns for a person.
HM Coastguard confirmed that the Broughty Ferry RNLI lifeboat had been dispatched to the scene, alongside Coastguard rescue teams from Arbroath and St Andrews.
The closure has caused queues throughout Dundee city centre, as well as towards Fife with tailbacks as far as the Forgan Roundabout.

“Motorists are asked to avoid the area or seek alternative routes.”
