Man, 41, attacked at entrance to court as police appeal for information

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted at the entrance to Elgin Sheriff Court.

The 41-year-old man was attacked around 10am on Thursday at the court on High Street.

He was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment.

A 30-year-old man was arrested in connection and released pending further investigation.

Police Scotland have said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
