A man was airlifted to hospital following a major rescue operation at Pitlochry Golf Club on Thursday.
The 44-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by helimed with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Inspector Emma Bowman, of Blairgowrie Police Station, said: “We received a report of a 44-year-old man having suffered a serious injury at Pitlochry Golf Club around 8.15am on Thursday, 25 June, 2020.
“The man was taken to Ninewells Hospital by helimed. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
Five appliances and a heavy rescue unit were mobilised by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS).
“Operations Control mobilised five appliances and a heavy rescue unit to assist a person in difficulty in an embankment,” SFRS said in a statement.
“Firefighters worked to bring the person to safety and the casualty was handed into the care of paramedics. Crews left after making the area safe.”
A statement from the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call today at 0808 hours to attend an incident in Pitlochry.
“We dispatched one ambulance, an air ambulance, our trauma team and special operations team to the scene. We airlifted one male patient to Ninewells.”
