© Google Maps 2024A man has appeared in court charged with the rape and attempted murder of a woman in the outskirts of Aberdeen.
Emergency services were called to a property on Charleston Road North in the Cove area, after a man is said to have entered the dwelling at around 9.15pm on June 10, before allegedly seriously sexually assaulting a woman in her 30s.
On Tuesday, Kyle Allen, from the Aberdeen area, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged in connection with the incident.
The 31-year-old made no plea to the charges of attempted murder and rape and was remanded in custody for further examination.
His next court appearance will be within eight days.
Police said there will continue to be a presence in the area while the investigation continues.
