A man has been arrested in an investigation into the death of a baby boy.
The two-month-old child was taken to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital with injuries in the early hours of Wednesday, June 11.
He died shortly after.
On Wednesday, June 25, police said they had arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the baby’s death.
He has since been released pending further enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.30am on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, we were made aware of an injured two-month-old baby boy who had been taken to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
“He died a short time later.
“A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and released pending further enquiries.”
