A man has been arrested after a teenager was sexually assaulted in Dundee.
The attack, involving a 17-year-old girl, happened at around 3.10am on August 11, on Dens Road near to its junction with Laing Street.
Police said the teen was approached by three men, one of whom allegedly grabbed and sexually assaulted her before making off from the scene.
The girl returned home and police were made aware of the incident.
Police confirmed that a 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident on Tuesday.
The force added that the man was released “pending further enquiries”.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old woman in Dundee.
“The incident happened around 3.10am on Sunday, August 11, 2024, Dens Road near to its junction with Laing Street.
“The 25-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, September 3, and was released pending further enquiries.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
