STV NewsA man has been arrested and charged after a teenage girl was raped on a street in Dundee.
The 17-year-old girl was walking in the Pentland Avenue area of the city between 9pm and 11.20pm last Friday when she was allegedly attacked.
Police said the girl was supported by specialist officers.
A major probe was launched, and a 36-year-old man was later charged in connection with serious sexual assault.
He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court at a later date.
Detective inspector Graeme Wishart said: “We know this incident has caused concern in the local community and I would like to thank members of the public for their support during our enquiries.”
