A man has been charged after armed police were called to reports of a disturbance near a Dundee hospital in the early hours of the morning.
Police received a reports of a man causing a disturbance on Charleston Drive near Ninewells Hospital at around 1am on Wednesday.
A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He will appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 21.
Crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1am on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 officers received a report of a man causing a disturbance on Charleston Drive, Dundee.
“A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection.
“He will appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 21, 2024.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 12.56am to attend an incident on Charleston Drive in Dundee.
“Two ambulances and two special operations response teams (SORT) were dispatched, and one patient was checked over at the scene.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 12.55am on Wednesday, March 20 to support emergency service partners at an incident at Charleston Drive, Dundee.”
