Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was deliberately set on fire in Dundee.
At around 1am on August 28, officers were called to a report of a white BMW on fire in the Fintry area of the city.
There were no reports of injuries however officers believe the suspect sustained burns as a result of the fire and have called for any witnesses to come forward.
The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Detective sergeant Sean McCabe, of Tayside CID, said: “The male suspect was seen running from the car as it caught fire. He then got into a waiting car which drove off at speed toward Fintry Drive.
“We believe that he may have sustained burn injuries as a result of the attack and would ask anyone who has any knowledge of a man who may have suffered from burn injuries in suspicious circumstances over the past few days to please come forward.
“I would also ask those in the area with CCTV or dash-cam footage to please check back and see if there is any footage from around the time of the incident that could assist our investigation.”
