Man charged after cannabis farm worth £150,000 discovered in Fife raid

A man has been charged after a cannabis farm worth more than £150,000 was discovered in a raid in Fife.

Police received a report of suspicious activity at a property on South Street in Lochgelly around 3.05pm on Saturday.

Officers attended and a cannabis cultivation was discovered with an estimated street value of £153,720.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday.

Detective Sergeant Duncan Thompson said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities, and this recovery highlights our ongoing efforts to rid our communities of dangerous and illegal drugs.

“Information from the public is crucial, and we would like to thank members of the community for their cooperation.

“We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to bring those involved in their supply to justice.”
