A man has been charged after a car allegedly crashed into several vehicles in Aberdeen and fled the scene.

Emergency services received reports of a grey Ford Ranger being driven in a dangerous manner between Mounthooly and Beach Boulevard at around 9am on Thursday.

Officers traced the vehicle to Wyndford Farm Road and arrested a 21-year-old man in connection.

He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday.

A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Constable McManus of North East Road Policing said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the car or who had their car damaged as a result and who haven’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.”
