A man has been charged in connection with a wilful fire at a hotel in Elgin.
Emergency services were called to Ladyhill House on Hill Street around 2am on Friday following reports of the blaze.
Six fire engines were sent to the scene with crews working for three hours to bring the fire under control.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Police have now confirmed a 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday, June 24.
