A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the death of a pedestrian who died after being hit by a car in Fife.
The 46-year-old man was struck by a grey Audi on High Street in Cowdenbeath while crossing the road on Thursday at around 8.30pm.
Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver of the Audi did not stop and drove off in the direction of Perth Road.
The road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out and enquiries remain ongoing to locate the car involved.
A 32-year-old man is due to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday over the incident.
