A man has been convicted of spraying a substance and injuring two people at an Aberdeen hospital.
Emergency services were called to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on October 10, 2025 around 5.30pm following reports of a disturbance, in which two people were left injured.
The hospital’s emergency department was placed on lockdown as a result of the incident.
Piotr Huczynski, 37, was charged in connection and pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including assault and discharge of a firearm, at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday.
He will be sentenced on March 18.
Inspector Katy Townhill said: “This was a reckless incident that resulted in two people being injured. Huczynski showed no regard for the welfare of others in the hospital, and he will now face the consequences of his actions.
“I’d like to thank the public for their support and patience while we dealt with this incident. We take offences such as this very seriously and will not tolerate violence in hospital environments. Our officers will always strive to support partners and ensure that those involved are brought to justice.”
