A man has died at a beauty spot in Angus.

Emergency services were called to the King’s Drive area of Arbroath at around 1pm on Friday.

A 54-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1pm on Friday, June 2, police were called to a report of a concern for person in the King’s Drive area of Arbroath.

“Emergency services attended and a 54-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
