A man has died in hospital after he was rescued from a river on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to the Tay Road Bridge in Dundee at around 2.40am following reports of concern for a person.
A man was saved from the River Tay a short time later and transported to the city’s Ninewells Hospital.
The man later died in hospital.
The death is not being treated as suspicious. A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.40am on Sunday, 29 December, 2024, we were called to a report of a concern for person on the Tay Road Bridge, Dundee.
“A man was rescued from the water a short time later and was taken Ninewells Hospital, Dundee by the Scottish Ambulance Service where he later died.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
