An investigation has been launched after a man was found injured on an Aberdeen street on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called after a man was found injured on Cairngorm Drive in the Kincorth area of the city.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene and police are now carrying out enquiries into how he became injured.
Images from the scene show a First Bus stopped in the road while police are present.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.25 am on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, a man was found injured on Cairngorm Drive, Aberdeen. He was treated by paramedics at the scene.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
A spokesperson for First Aberdeen said: “We can confirm the First Bus photographed was not involved in the incident. The driver was travelling along Cairngorm Drive in Kincorth at approximately 9.25am and noticed a pedestrian had collapsed in the middle of the road.
“The driver stopped his bus and positioned it carefully to ensure the pedestrian was protected from any other traffic. The driver proceeded to phone the emergency services and wait with the pedestrian until they arrived.
“Our thoughts are with the pedestrian at this time. We wish to commend the driver for the quick actions taken to assist both the pedestrian and the emergency services at the scene.”
