A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in New Elgin.
Emergency services were called to the North Street area after a 55-year-old man was struck by a red Fiat Punto at around 8.05pm on Saturday.
The man was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin before being transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
His condition is described as critical but stable.
The road was closed while a collision investigation took place and re-opened at around 6.50am.
Sergeant Eoin Maxwell said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I’m appealing to anyone who may have seen anything that will help our investigation to contact us.
“We are also keen to speak with any other motorists who may have possible dashcam footage from the area around the time in question.”
