A 46-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a break-in and serious assault at a M&S store.
Officers were called to Gallagher Retail Park in Dundee at around 4am on Wednesday where the M&S Foodhall was closed as police carried out enquiries into what happened.
A spokesperson for the supermarket confirmed The Docks store was shut after the early morning incident but said no further comment would be made due to the live police investigation.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently in attendance at a shop in Gallagher Retail Park following a report of a break-in and a serious assault.
“Emergency services attended and a 46-year-old man has been taken to hospital.
“The shop is currently closed as officers carry out enquiries into the incident. Police were made aware of the incident around 4am on Wednesday 12 October, 2022.”
An M&S spokesperson said: “Our foodhall at The Docks in Dundee is currently closed due to an incident that took place early this morning.
“Due to an ongoing police investigation we are not able to comment further at this stage.”
