A man has been left with serious injuries after being struck by a BMW in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash, involving a grey BMW and a pedestrian, on Old Glamis Road at around 1pm on Wednesday.
The pedestrian, a 45-year-old man, was taken to Ninewells Hospital with serious injuries.
The 39-year-old driver was not injured.
The road was closed to allow for investigations to take place and reopened at around 10pm.
Police Scotland is urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Brian McEwan, road traffic policing, said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
“I am appealing for anyone who saw the crash who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
