A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a van on the A92.
Emergency services were called to the road near Newtonhill, Aberdeenshire, following a report of a crash involving a black Mercedes Sprinter van and a male pedestrian at around 10.40am on Friday.
A 60-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment where he remains in a serious condition.
The road reopened at around 3.50pm.
Sergeant Sarah Ritchie said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would ask any members of the public who may have seen the collision or have dash cam footage to please get in touch.”
