Google MapsA man is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a van on the A92.
Emergency services were called to the road near Newtonhill, Aberdeenshire, following a report of a crash involving a black Mercedes Sprinter van and a male pedestrian at around 10.40am on Friday.
A 60-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment where he remains in a serious condition.
The road reopened at around 3.50pm.
Sergeant Sarah Ritchie said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would ask any members of the public who may have seen the collision or have dash cam footage to please get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1030 of December 8.
