iStockA man is in a serious condition in hospital after an industrial accident in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to a premises on North Marketgate, at around 3.15pm on Friday, after receiving reports that a 53-year-old man had suffered an injury.
The man was taken to Ninewells Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
Police have launched a joint investigation with the Health and Safety Executive into the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.15pm on Friday March 25, 2022, police received a report of a man being injured in an industrial accident on North Marketgate, Dundee.
“A 53-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious.
“An joint investigation is under way involving Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive.”
