A man is in hospital after being deliberately struck by a car and then assaulted by a group of people in Dundee in a ‘targeted attack’.
The 23-year-old was chased and then struck down by a black 4×4 style vehicle, shortly before 5am on Monday, December 27, in Finavon Terrace.
A group of people then got out of the car and assaulted him, after damaging the windows of a property and a vehicle on the street.
The victim was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle is described as a black 4×4, with a cream interior and distinctive alloy wheels, and the driver is described as white, with a half facial tribal tattoo.
Inspector Chris Boath said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident and I would urge anyone who saw or heard a disturbance around that time to get in touch.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area.
“From our enquiries so far, this appears to be have been a targeted attack and I would assure people we are thoroughly investigating to identify those responsible.
