A man was taken to hospital after the attempted robbery of a bank in Aberdeenshire.
Police were called to the TSB branch in Queen Street, Peterhead, after the alarm at the bank was triggered at around 8.30am on Monday.
Emergency services attended and a 31-year-old man was taken to hospital.
Officers confirmed that nothing was taken from the premises.
The branch remains closed while carry out enquiries.
A TSB spokesman said: “The police were responding to the alarm at the branch being triggered this morning before the branch opened.
“The branch is currently closed while police go through relevant procedures following events.”
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called around 8.30am on Monday, July 17, to a report of a break-in at a premises on Queen Street, Peterhead.
“Officers attended and a 31-year-old man has been taken to hospital.
“Nothing was taken from the premises.”
